Itinerary

Day 1 – Paris to Ypres

Meet in Paris or Lille before visiting the historic Fromelles battlefield, Australian Memorial Park, VC Corner Cemetery and Fromelles Museum. Continue to Ypres for a guided walking tour and welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2 – The Ypres Salient

Explore the Ypres Salient and key Australian battlefields, including the Passchendaele Museum, Polygon Wood, Hill 60 and Tyne Cot Cemetery. Visit the German Cemetery at Langemark before attending the moving Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate. (B,L)

Day 3 – Ypres to the Somme

Travel south to the Somme, visiting the battlefields of Bullecourt, Pozieres and Mouquet Farm. Pay respects at the Australian memorials before visiting the Thiepval Memorial, then check into your Somme hotel with the evening at leisure. (B,L)

Day 4 – The Somme to Paris

Explore key Somme sites, including Adelaide Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux and the Australian Memorial. Visit the Sir John Monash Centre and Australian Memorial Park at Hamel before travelling to Paris, arriving around 5 pm. (B)
